Diane Strack, author and founder of New Start for Single Moms An effective speaker, writer, and teacher, Diane Strack has been involved in various aspects of women’s ministry for 30 years. She is the founder and author of New Start for Single Moms, a highly successful mentoring and Bible study program. With her husband of 34 years, Dr. Jay Strack, she co-founded Student Leadership University, a global, comprehensive leadership training program for students. Diane is the co-author of Good Kids Who Do Bad Things and co-author of the Experience Scripture study guides published by Thomas Nelson Publishers, including Worship in the Storm. Utilizing her background as an author, teacher, and life management facilitator for the Franklin-Covey Company, Diane has the ability to present both the practical and inspirational in a unique way that impacts lives. She is the proud mom of two daughters, Missy and Christina, who both serve in ministry, mother-in-law of Rev. Brent Crowe, and grandmother to Charis Rose and Gabriel. Dr. David Ferguson, LPC, is the founder of Intimate Life Ministries and www.greatcommandment.net. He is the author/developer of the Intimacy Therapy model which was the catalyst and foundation of New Start for Single Moms. Intimate Life Ministries supports the local church with resources and training for deepening intimacy with God and others. David’s graduate work in theology, counseling, and social sciences focused on the Great Commandment principle and its impact on relationships, ministry, and culture. He earned a M.Ed. from Southwest Texas State University, a Ph.D. and a Litt.D. from Oxford Graduate School where he is a member of the Society of Scholars. David’s books include The Pursuit of Intimacy, Intimate Encounters, Parenting With Intimacy, The Great Commandment Principle, Relational Leadership and Kingdom Calling and Never Alone. David and his wife, Teresa, live in Austin and have three adult children—Terri, Robin, and Eric. Debra Griswold holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at First Baptist Church Orlando. She serves as a volunteer at First Life Center for Pregnancy; New Start for Single Moms; The Central Florida Woman’s League; and as a member of the Foundation Board for the State University of New York at Geneseo where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders. Debra has two married daughters and resides in Windermere, Florida with John, her husband of 30 years. She enjoys teaching mentoring skills and challenging individuals and groups to live and communicate authentically, believing the heart of life is in our relationship with God and each other. Sarah Kamienski is a Mental Health Counselor and she has worked with children and their parents in a wide range of settings and family circumstances - ranging from developmental disorders and adoption adjustment to drug and alcohol addictions. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Wheaton College and her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. She is passionate about encouraging Moms and strengthening their communication skills. Sarah considers it a privilege to walk alongside hurting people and to offer them support - whether in the form of training seminars or within a healing relationship. She believes that God often performs His acts of redemption within such relationships. Sarah lives in St. Augustine, Florida with her husband Chris and their Golden Retriever, named Riley. |
