I am the director of the women's ministry at Midway and have had a burden for single moms for a long time. I began searching on the internet for something for single moms. We have just finished Lesson 8. We are having a dinner on our last day, inviting the children also. We will do graduation, with a little gift. We have only 4 moms this first semester, as we just started our mentoring program and had only 4 available mentors. I'm praying for an additional 10 mentors for our Fall semester. God really is in this ministry --- our moms are growing, changing, getting excited about their lives! Barbara R |

Received your note with attachments and am now quite excited to read through your program. I appreciated our time on the phone and am so glad that I made that call first. I feel that you can be someone I could always call on, if necessary, but I also just appreciated hearing 'your' heart and passion. I believe we are on the same page in the desire to see these Single Moms succeed in their relationship with God and with LIFE!.... to initiate in the them, the fire to rise up and be the women of God He desires them to be, to be leaders, to be strong, to be able!!!! Thanks for the info about New Start. I am beginning my third session of New Start as a mentor at my church and I love it. At the same time, but on a different day I am facilitating a New Start group at the pregnancy center where I am the director. At the pregnancy center we sent invitations to all the moms with whom we work to join us for New Start and we have 3 moms willing to make the commitment.
